Salt Dough christmas decorations

Christmas is here and it’s time to start decorating the tree. Here’s an opportunity to add those personal touches to your tree this year by adding homemade decorations with this easy Salt Dough Decoration recipe.

Cutting salt dough with christmas cookie cutters.

Ingredients

  • 1 Cup of Flour

  • 1/2 Cup Salt

  • 1/2 cup water

  • Rolling Pin

  • Christmas Cookie Cutters

  • Acrylic Paints, Glitter and Ribbon

 
Decoration a Kiwi Christmas tree

Method

  • Combine Flour and Salt, and mix well with a spoon.

  • Gradually add water.

  • Using your hands, knead until soft and pillable.

  • Roll out on floured surface about 7mm thick and cut into shapes with cookie cutters.

  • Place on baking sheet and make a hole at the top of ornament with a straw.

  • Bake at 160 degrees until harf (1hour*).

Once Dry - decorate with paint and glitter. Thread Ribbon through the hole, and it’s ready to hang.

You can vanish your decoration to preserve it.
